Dec 22, 2019 · The P2453 doesn't indicate a clogged DPF, just that the sensor is not operating correctly either due to a faulty sensor or electrical connection or a leaking connector hose. So, I checked all the connections, all seemed to be fine, electrical and hoses, so I ordered a new sensor, which showed up yesterday.

May 24, 2015 · P2453 Theory of Operation The ECM provides a 5-volt supply to the aftertreatment diesel particulate filter differential pressure sensor on the sensor supply circuit. The ECM also supplies a ground on the sensor return circuit. The aftertreatment differential pressure sensor provides a signal to the ECM.

Apr 15, 2013 · There was a plastic trash can stuck under the front of the rear passenger side of truck. I backed up about 25 ft before I realized it was there. I got out and pulled it out. After I drove a little ways down the road the MIL came on. Code that come up is P2453 which is diesel particulate filter pressure sensor A. It is 09 3500 6.7 L laramine dually.

These codes have never put me in a limp mode of any kind it just uses a lot more def and noticeably effected the fuel economy to me.
