Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor (born 1968) is a Kenyan writer who is the author of novels, short stories and essays. She won the 2003 Caine Prize for African Writing for her story "Weight of Whispers".

Kenyan writer Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor describes herself as “pluralistic by inclination and nationality.” Having previously been, among other things, executive director of the Zanzibar International Film Festival, she entered the literary world when her short story “The Weight of Whispers” earned her the 2003 Caine Prize for African Writing.

Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor is a renowned Kenyan writer, recognized for her contribution to literature and arts in Kenya. She won the 2003 Caine Prize for her story “Weight of Whispers.” Owuor has also worked as a screenwriter and was the Executive Director of the Zanzibar International Film Festival.
