Orcs who do not live in strongholds are derisively called "city Orcs" by those that do, and are considered soft outsiders just like non-Orcs. Many Orcs seek to escape traditional life in the strongholds. Orc women may want to escape being "just another wife" to the chieftain.

Orc Village is home to the tribal race of Orcs. The village is surrounded by forests and dotted with numerous trees. It is sustained by a small lake towards the east and an ocean towards the west.

Villagers are an intelligent species originating from the province of Gavel, and they have lived in Gavel for an unknown amount of millenia. They have high magical potential, moreso than that of humans, however it often goes unrealized due to laziness. [1]

Villagers are generic NPCs that are found in a variety of quests. The Big Hit: Intercept the River Snake's cargo. Shadow of Doubt: Investigate a haunted castle. Mining Misfortune: Rescue a group of missing miners. The Heretic: Rescue the daughter of an Orc chief. Pool of Despair: Investigate disappearances from a nearby town.

Orcs are burly raiders with prominent lower canines that resemble tusks. They gather in tribes that satisfy their bloodlust by slaying any humanoids that stand against them.

Citadel's 0508 Orc Villagers series was part of the "Orcs" range and was released in 1988. Most were older models from the C15 Orc Villagers and ORC5 Orc Villagers series. There were 8 new figures first catalogued here. The figures were all sculpted by Trish Morrison.

The first 12 were released as C15 Orc Villagers in November 1986 and another 12 as Orc5 Villagers in April 1987, the rest of the 32 are shown in the 1988 Catalogue.
