Feb 4, 2020 · Have you tried importing the FBX into another 3d program? Something you might give a try is creating a simple single model in Navisworks and exporting that. If that works, then it's your Navisworks file, if it doesn't it could be a blender issue.

I've checked the file, but wasn't able to open it in any software, neither in .FBX nor in .OBJ (With that being said, I didn't check with Autodesk's suite). I'm not a Maya expert, but my guess is that there are some specifics parameters enabled at the export preventing a good reading of the files.

May 5, 2020 · FBX is a proprietary format by autodesk and can be a little bit finnicky to get it 100% with blender since blender is open source.

Is it possible to make Blender import this .fbx file just like you would do it manually by using File > Import > FBX? By default, Blender just opens up and loads default new scene when you open anything that is not .blend file.

Aug 7, 2020 · I have a rigged and animated file made in blender that was exported as a .fbx file, but I can't open it with FBX Review or Unity. There is no error message that show up in either tool.

If local, see if your steps are the same as these After UV unwrapping : 1. Make sure the object (s) that you want to export is (are) selected in Blender 2. In Blender's export fbx dialogue make sure Selected Objects is checked 3.

May 14, 2018 · Simple solution: just open the FBX file in a 3D viewer (there should be one in Windows by default), then just save it as glTF and then you should be able to import that file into Blender.
