Originally, the logo for this truck consisted of two stripes arranged loosely like a lightning symbol with the words "Opel" and "Blitz" in them, in later, 1950s models simplified to the horizontal form of lightning which appears in the current Opel logo.

New Ownership: In 2017, the French Group PSA (now Stellantis) bought Opel, starting a new phase for the company with hopes of refreshing its cars.

In 2017, GM sold Opel to Groupe PSA and has since been part of Groupe PSA ever since. Even though this logo is no longer used as of 2020, it was nevertheless reused as a badge for 2021. This new logo, a thinned out version of the 2017 logo, first appeared in ads worldwide, with the introduction of a new custom font called Opel Next.

The redesign of the Opel logo, held in 2023, has added more sharpness and geometry to the iconic emblem of the automaker. The recognizable lighting bolt has been split up into two parts, divided by a thin white horizontal line.
