Sep 12, 2021 · : ( I workout 4-5 days a week, walk 6km daily, and have an active job. 15% calorie deficit is about 2200 calories for me. I've tried anywhere between 1500-2500 consistently and I kept gaining weight on OMAD. I don't know what gives.

OMAD - eating a single meal, means you're body is essentially fasting for 23hrs each day. It therefore gets to spend far longer metabolising fat each day. My own experience, is that other than the first few days of transitioning, I've rarely felt hungry, having done 4 months of OMAD, I eat less, and often have to remind myself to eat.

Eating one meal a day (omad) is supposed to simplify your life. Don’t stress over calories, macros, or meal timing (just stick to your eating window). Unless you have a strict diet, there’s no need to worry about these things. Focus on eating clean and staying active. If you have a hard time on omad, keep yourself distracted.
