The lek (Albanian: leku shqiptar; indefinite singular lek, definite plural lekët, indefinite plural lekë; sign: L; [1] code: ALL) is the currency of Albania. Historically, it was subdivided into 100 qintars (Albanian: qindarka; singular qindarkë).

In Albania, prices are sometimes quoted in “old” Lek, particularly in rural areas or by older vendors. In the 1960s, Albania revalued its currency, setting 10 new Lek = 100 old Lek . However, many Albanians still refer to prices in old Lek, which can confuse visitors.
