Old Abe covered glass compote made by the Crystal Glass Company of Bridgeport, Ohio. Exhibited at the Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876 where the real Old Abe was a major attraction as well.

Feb 15, 2025 · Antique Old Abe Frosted Eagle covered compote EAPG circa 1883. Crystal Glass Co. 1870-1888. Good antique condition. It does have 3 chips, one on beak, one on wing and one on bottom of bowl (See last 3 pictures please). Otherwise it has the normal little swirls and couple of bubbles etc. that is expected from that era. We just love this piece!
