Jun 14, 2022 · Build the refineries near your base and bring the crude oil by train, this way it's way easier to switch to advanced oil processing later, and you don't have to build refineries at every oil field

Normally, I build oil factories near the oil and then transport the power, plastic and rubber by train. Special Ammo and Filters require fabric, heavy oil, turbo fuel etc... so I send one fluid car of crude oil to my 'Munitions' factory and make whatever it needs from that. =)

Jan 9, 2021 · Pipelines are great as long as you maintain a central production base, but if you start setting up outposts, having your oil on a train means it is suddenly easy to send oil to both a plastic factory, as well as the battery factory and the rocket fuel factory, and you don't need to run pipelines all over the board.

To move fluids such as Crude Oil by train, Fluid Wagons must be used, unlocked by researching the Fluid Wagon technology (also needing Red and Green science). Finally, to set up stations for our trains using Train Stops, the Automated Rail Transportation tech is required, requiring Red and Green Science to unlock.

My conclusion was Lubricant, Petroleum Gas and Sulfuric acid for the bus/trains.

Apr 27, 2015 · Use productivity modules. They enable enable, top get more out of less. - With just some oil pumps, the about maximum distance with underground belts is about 1000 tiles. I never did that. - With more than 500 tiles distance a train is generally a good idea.
