Offered is an antique Japanese Kanzashi Ogi-Bira hairpin, also called "Princess" style. These are usually worn by maiko in the hair just above the temple. New maiko wear two on the day of their debut (misedashi). This piece dates in the late Meiji period to the Taisho era, right about 1920. The Kanzashi Ogi Bira is in very good condition.
