D&D 5E - 5e Oerth − the planet of Blackmoor and Greyhawk
Jan 18, 2022 · Planet Oerth and Its Reallife Inspirations For 50e, the 50th anniversary edition in 2024, I want two regional settings: the City of Blackmoor to celebrate Arneson and the City of Greyhawk to celebrate Gygax. These two cities have me thinking about the original setting of the 1970s C&C map...
Greyhawk 2024: comparing Oerth and Earth - EN World
Nov 7, 2024 · By the way, some DMs use the Greyhawk map (1980, 1983, 2024) but not the Oerth world map (1996, 2000). When I refer to a location somewhere else in the world outside of Greyhawk, just think of it as a placeholder that can be plugged in anywhere that makes sense in whichever world map you use.
What exactly happened to Oerth at the end of Dance of Demons?
Mar 15, 2015 · What I gathered: Tharizdun and Entropy are trapped on Oerth Prime. In this sealed off world the two powers will battle each other for a millennia. Eventually, Tharizdun will expire and Entropy will be let loose upon the cosmos once again. Gord and his friends are given life on an alternate world named Yarth. This was made possible due to the workings of Proctor Chronos and Lady Tolerance. At ...

Nov 7, 2024 · Ehhh, iirc Oerth was geographically based off a the old spinning globe of the earth, so it's not farfetched to assume that there really isn't much more nuance when it comes to the latitude and longitude. Size and scale? Maybe. Also I've been to europe, it is much colder than America in both latitude and longitude.
Greyhawk: Why We Need Mo' Oerth by 2024 - EN World
May 26, 2022 · Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in! One of the things I have often written about, albeit not recently, is Greyhawk. It is, for various reasons, my all-time favorite campaign setting, and one that I continue to return to. Recently, the tail …
Greyhawk 2024: comparing Oerth and Earth - EN World
Nov 7, 2024 · Oerth is the central planet of its system, with the Sun orbiting it. Mystara is a hollow planet with tunnels at the poles linking to an "internal" planet with a microstar in the core. In 5E they did blow up Dark Sun altogether, leaving behind a devastated hellscape orbiting a black hole, but then wimped out on it and renamed it in the final ...
D&D 5E - Greyhawk, and race options for Oerth PCs
Jan 27, 2020 · I thought it best for me to make this thread so that people can actually take this debate onto a thread that's actually built for it, instead of flooding threads built for another purpose. In case you're new, here's the gist; Greyhawk! Arguably the first (yeah I know Blackmoor) campaign setting for D&D, the world of Oerth.
Greyhawk 2024: comparing Oerth and Earth - EN World
Nov 7, 2024 · Toril's size is a little in flux, with 2E saying it is precisely Earth-sized but the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas, the only source with a complete world map and a scale, puts the equatorial circumference at 23,990 miles, slightly less than Earth at 24,901 miles (and mostly negligible, or even within a margin of error). Both are smaller than Oerth, the equatorial circumference of which is ...
