Oberon, called the Lord of Beasts or sometimes King Oberon, was a member of the Seelie Court worshiped as a deity of the wilderness and animals. [1] He was at other times known as Oran, and under that name was called the Green Lord. [2]

Oberon is the high king of the Fae and the husband of both Titania and Mab, the high queens of the Fae. He rules over the moonlight, dreams and all fairy rites. Some depictions say he is in charge of only the Seelie Court, but other depictions make him the leader of the entire Faeland.

Oberon, the Green Lord, an unrivaled hunter and woodland warrior, is Titania’s lover and frequently her foe. Oberon is attuned to every bough of each tree and each branch of every stream in the forests of the Feywild.

Feb 25, 2025 · Oberon is the son of Queen Mab by an unknown father. During the 5th Century AD, Oberon became temporarily attracted to, and seduced, a Welsh noblewoman, by whom he became the father of Merlin.

Oberon is the mightiest of the wild fey, those of independent disposition who refuse to bow to any singular ruler. As such, he does not rule a court in the same way that Titania or the Queen of Air and Darkness does.

In many campaign settings for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, Oberon is the fey deity of nature, wild places, and animals. Oberon appears as a male fairy of perhaps unusual size (4'6") with no wings, and strongly muscled by fey standards.
