Dec 7, 2018 · I'm still watching on a very old Sony KDL-52XBR4 in a totally 1080p setup (see signature) and love the picture, while my in-laws have a Sony XBR-55930E and the upscaling technology from the time frankly makes their cable box look absolutely horrid on the TV, and I don't find that TV looked great enough at the time to warrant the jump to 4K.

Mar 28, 2024 · First things first, the G4 is BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT. I dont have a meter, but ive had tv's of all technologies and brightness levels and i can confidently guess that in non accurate modes this tv breaks 2500 nits in peak white, small windows. The colors are MUCH better than the G3, although color volume wise it isnt a match for QD OLED.

Nov 30, 2022 · The Samsung OLED tech uses some kind of blue pixel tech, I wonder if that's a cause. OLED contrast; High refresh rates; The brightness of this newer OLED tech. However to counter some of the above: Both my phone, iPad and PC screens run at 120Hz, and they aren't a problem; My phone and laptop are both 4K OLED screens with high nit levels.
