Nov 20, 2006 · The OKC3S has an inch more blade than the M9 as well as a bit more belly towards the tip, some serrations, a longer swedge, and no "saw" teeth on the spine. I also noticed the OKC3S I handled did not have the torx screw on the butt cap like the M9 does. So I guess it's a press fit blade instead of being screwed to the tang like the M9.

Aug 4, 2013 · Other than some minor storage wear, it's a great looking specimen. My understanding is that this model, the 'OKC3S, was specifically designed for, and solely adopted by, the USMC. Also, the sole contractor for this bayonet was the Ontario Knife Company, (OKC), of Franklinville New York.

Jan 3, 2012 · Is this a fake OKC3s bayonet? I saw this one recently which looks right,handle and scabbard markings were right,except the serration pattern is slightly different and no markings on the blade. The lack of blade markings are a concern to me. Is this real or fake?

Feb 19, 2008 · Neither the M9 nor the OKC3S, not any other bayonete that I am familiar with save possible the Zero Tolerance, is full tang. They are stick tangs with threaded bayonet pommels.

ontario okc3s marine corps bayonet any experience
Nov 24, 2010 · Not really but it's basically a Ka Bar, but a 1" longer blade and much stronger. Very nice handle in ergonomics and material, and it's a very strong blade. I would get it, but I don't have much of a use for another bayonet.
