Jul 14, 2020 · Blue background and white cross is a new combination that no country can see it self in - which makes the flag equal and different, but yet relateable. The blue symbolizes the ocean, sky and the cold Nordic climate. The white symbolizes the snow in the winter of our freezing north. Blue and white together amplifies the effect.

I agree with your points, and add that its very difficult to get every nordic flag represented due to these reasons. I think the kalmar union flag serves as a good base, but needs blue and white added. Perhaps blue and white stripes similar to the GB flag would do the trick. But before we even get a flag, we need to be united.

Their flag depicts three Nordic crosses overlapping surrounded by 8 stars representing the 8 countries/autonomous areas making up the union. 3 crosses, one for each region: Scandinavia, the islands, and Greenland.

Sep 11, 2023 · No I don't want any neo-Viking fetishism on any of my flags personally. I'd rather just celebrate my current national flag and the flag of the European Union. I wouldn't be opposed to a closer Nordic Union (but as an EU member then), unless it's about satifisfying some cringe closet Nazi fantasies, then I'd want nothing to do with that whatsoever.
