Voiced palatal approximant - Wikipedia
The voiced palatal approximant is a type of consonant used in many spoken languages. The symbol in the International Phonetic Alphabet that represents this sound is j ; the equivalent X-SAMPA symbol is j, and in the Americanist phonetic notation it is y .
In Matlab, w = randn(N) generates a sequence of length N of n(0, 1) ‘Gaussian’ white noise (i.e. with a normal distribution of mean 0 and std 1).
Troubleshooting Noises (Is Your Jaguar Trying to Tell ... - JaguarForums
Aug 26, 2015 · First, check idle oil pressure even if you have to screw in a mechanical gauge. If it's low, you can bias your decision toward bearings. Next, listen with your stethoscope. A rod bearing makes more noise at the oil pan than elsewhere, and a wrist pin more racket up on the water jacket. Hold RPMs at 2500, jerk the throttle open and let it snap ...

Reducing NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) | NAXJA Forums
Jan 16, 2012 · I've done this to 2 XJs mainly to get rid of vibrations for big subwoofer applications but the same ideas apply to reducing road noise. Afterwards they are quiet enough to whisper on a cell phone on the highway. having good condition weather stripping also plays a huge part in this as Talyn mentioned.
Loud Grinding Noise Upon Acceleration - NAXJA
Jul 23, 2007 · Upon hard acceleration, my '91 XJ 4.0L makes a loud clattering/grinding noise, which lets up immediately when I let off the gas. Sounds almost like a detonation-type noise, but recently it makes an actual louder noise more akin to a grinding. The engine has 200K miles, otherwise runs and drives fine. Any thoughts?
random variables - $E [x_i^2 x_j^2]$ for white Gaussian noise ...
Mar 14, 2015 · If $x_n$ is a discrete time random signal and is white Gaussian noise (ergodic and WSS) so $$E [x_n x_ {n+l}]=\sigma ^2 \delta (l)$$ and $$E [x_n]=0$$ Where $n \in \mathbb {R}$ and $l\in\mathbb {R}$

Noise-X - MadLab
The fundamental sound generators in Noise-X are digitally-controlled oscillators (DCOs). Four are available and their pitch (frequency), amplitude (volume) and waveform can be individually controlled.

MadLab Electronic Kits - Noise-X
Noise-X A digital synthesiser that behaves more like an analogue synthesiser. Great for making sci-fi sound effects. Using a combination of sliders and rotary pots, a variety of atmospheric sounds can be created. 4 DCOs (digitally-controlled oscillators) + mixer pitch and amplitude LFOs
