Dec 20, 2024 · We can reasonably surmise that if Nik Collection 8 is announced and released around mid-2025, DxO will continue to offer special upgrade pricing for customers who bought Nik Collection 7. As for Nik Collection 6, current policy suggests yes, but as others have said DxO could change that (and has every right to).

Oct 24, 2024 · After clicking on Nik Selective Tool 2 via the automated menu in Photoshop, nothing happens. There is no message or screen with information. When I click on Color Efex Pro4 via the filter menu, I get the same message from both Nik4.3.6 and Nik Collection 7. For the moment, I will work with Nik Collection 4.3.6 in standalone mode.

Nov 28, 2023 · I’ve tested the Nik Collection on macOS Monterey, Ventura and Sonoma on Intel and Apple Silicon hardware and found that Nik worked in all my tests, no matter what the hardware or OS version was. This does not mean that Nik 6 is bug free, it is software after all

Aug 4, 2022 · Bear in mind that Nik Collection is primarily designed as a series of plug-ins for other software that does the RAW conversion and then works with a resulting TIFF or JPEG file, so you are going to have to start by converting your images to TIFF or JPEG in PL5 Essential, Umm, got to challenge the last three words of that as well.

Jan 1, 2024 · Hello and Happy New Year, I used to use Google’s free Nik Collection but recently bought the DXO version. The interface is very different now and I think I need a tutorial to explain some of the more detailed features that are appearing in each of the programs. Are there any good You Tube tutorials out there watching? Cheers, Ruth

Oct 2, 2023 · Actually, if you export from PL as a tiff, then edit said tiff with NIK, (be sure to check the box to allow edits), you can further your work in AP, returning to n NIK where you see your filters. One does need to be intentional with the workflow roadmap once you commit to a tiff. And yes, NIK 6 installed nicely/easily into AP2.

Jul 31, 2024 · → check results and move NIK stuff to the trash; search for files containing “efex” → check results and move NIK stuff to the trash etc. Searching for “Nik” also produces results with e.g. “Nikon”, but you can remove most items with other search terms. Be extra careful though, some files you might find belong to macOS!
