Jan 11, 2012 · The biggest mod I'm planning is to transplant a C5/C6 vette IRS into the GTO. Has anyone ever successfully accomplished this? I know someone's been working a newer GTO IRS into a chevelle frame, and someone put the whole thing into a Gen 1 camaro, but I haven't really been able to dig up any info on vette IRS transplants into A-frame's.

Oct 15, 2009 · remember seeing several months ago a TV show, probably on SPEED, was taking a first or second gen GTO body and putting it on a brand new GTO Chassis (with the new gto interior, engine, ect). I thought it was Chop Cut Rebuild, but didn't find anything on it.

Oct 21, 2010 · Not even close. The LS motor is the BEST engine Chevy has ever built. period, dot, the end.. You had a radiator hose leak, and lost a head gasket because of it. There is no reason for your damage at 40k miles, or why the hose went. Sh#t happens, don't hate the car. Get it fixed and press on. I still want a newer GTO even after your story.
