Apr 21, 2017 · I would recommend a Jebao SLW (I use a SLW-10), which is identical to the nero 3. It functions the same imo and has a feeding mode that turns the powerhead off completely and allows me to feed my fish/do water changes without the powerhead gurgling. It is also 1/2 the price, if not 1/3 of a nero. You can get two of these for the price of one nero.

Jan 1, 2024 · After 5 broken MP10 wet sides in a year I decided to trade those in for a set of Nero 3’s. After a little over a year one of the Nero’s has already died and since it’s dead I decided to take a hammer to and and see what’s inside. Inside the pump is wet, rusty, and filled with a sand like material that has a weird smell.

Apr 1, 2021 · Not Nero 3s, but I’ve had 2 Nero 5s for 2 years and they’ve stopped around a total of around 5 times prior to installing snail/fish guards. Only one stopped Nero after installing the guards from a snail that decided to dive head first into the front of Nero. It would be helpful if there was a text alert when the Nero does an emergency stop.

Jan 21, 2020 · Tbh I took down my 15gal and moved my Nero 3 over to my 50gal with a Nero 5. So no, I hadn’t noticed much wave action with just one in my nano. I think if your coral and fish look happy there isn’t too much to worry about.
