Dec 6, 2010 · i don´t recall hearing Neil Peart being mentioned among the greats until Moving Pictures (1984) . not a slight on his earlier works, but a comment on his standing in the music community, as i remember it. before Moving Pictures, Rush were regarded as Zep rip-offs. again, not a slight, nor agreeing, nor disagreeing.

Jan 22, 2025 · I'm not a Neil Peart or Rush fan although I do have a heavy respect for them. With that said, I usually scoff at such drum sets. But you know what? In my mind, that price isn't terrible. Imagine the amount of time and hands needed to make that; those materials and the amount of customization is pretty darn amazing.

It's Freddie Gruber's principle of circles, and the toms make a big downward sweeping alignment. Having a tom where his ride is now would create a big lump in the circle, interrupting the flow.
