Ned Mohan (S'72–M'73–SM'91–F'96) is Oscar A. Schott Professor of Power Electronics, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, where he has taught since 1976. He has numerous patents and publications in the field of power electronics.
About me | Ned Mohan
I was born in India in 1946, one year before she gained her independence. My granduncle was a freedom fighter, who died as a result of injuries suffered, while leading a non-violent procession in the Punjabi city of Lahore (now in Pakistan), in 1928. I was raised in the central province of Madhya Pradesh and studied at the Indian Institute of Technology – Kharagpur near Kolkata during 1962-67.
Ned Mohan (Fellow-IEEE) joined the University of Minnesota in 1975, where he is Oscar A. Schott Professor of Power Electronic Systems and Morse-Alumni Distinguished Professor.
