Most times you'll here a pop as the air blows out of the shaft end of the grip, just keep twisting and pulling and the grip will come off, sometimes pretty quickly. This won't always work but I have at least an 80% success rate.

I hit a half bucket of half shots and feel like the release is more natural allowing me to not feel like I have to manufacture a square face but the grip does feel a little less secure. Anyone make this switch or have any insight.
