Sodium hydrosulfide - Wikipedia
Sodium hydrosulfide is the chemical compound with the formula NaSH. This compound is the product of the half-neutralization of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) with sodium hydroxide (NaOH). NaSH and sodium sulfide are used industrially, often for similar purposes. Solid NaSH is colorless.
In the Nash method, based on the Hantzsch pyridine synthesis (4,5), formaldehyde reacts witha reagent consisting of 2,4-pentanedione and concentrated (- 2M) ammonium acetate (reaction 10). The chromophore, 3,5-diacetyl-2,6-dihydrolutidine (4), exhibits fluorescence (6).

Sodium hydrosulfide (sometimes called NaSH or sodium bisulfide) was one of the active reagents that is stable as long as the solution pH is high. Operators conducted the chemical reaction in an aqueous solution at about 32°F (0°C) to minimize side reactions and maintain product quality.
Nucleophilic Aromatic Substitution: Introduction and Mechanism
Aug 20, 2018 · In Nucleophilic Aromatic Substitution, an electron-poor aromatic ring is attacked by a nucleophile, resulting in a substitution reaction; The reaction proceeds through a negatively charged (carbanion) intermediate; The reaction is accelerated by the presence of electron-withdrawing groups on the aromatic ring
