May 28, 2013 · In my view though half the pleasure of an electronic media library, is the ease at which that library can be accessed. I found this when I (briefly) owned a Linn Klimax streamer - whilst the sound quality was good (though bested by the NAD M50 + 51 combo), the interface was appalling and completely ruined the experience.

Aug 1, 2013 · Finally, one thing I also like about the NAD M50, is NAD's obvious commitment to continuing to develop it. I've had mine for less than a year, and there have been at least around 8-10 updates to either the iPad control software or the player firmware, adding extra functionality or performance improvements.

Apr 13, 2015 · The NAD is connected to a Perreaux DAC/pre that has worked perfectly with 192kHz files from Moon, Linn and Project streamers connected by Spdf and AES. I originally thought it was likely to be a network issue (even though not experienced one before) but the stuttering through USB confirmed to me that it's likely to be a player issue.

May 3, 2024 · Thanks for the review, but you miss out a piece of crucial information: For a modest fee NAD devices have always been upgradable to have full-range Dirac Live Room Correction, but this is the first NAD device to have Dirac Live Bass Control (which is a new technology, and a different thing entirely to "bass management" only i.e. the frequency restricted version of the Room Correction suite).
