Considering the 5 channel Rotel 1585 mk2, just updated and released, the forever around Parasound a51 beast or the Nad m28. Really only need 3 channels, using the Nad 758 as preamp and amplification for rear in ceiling speakers.

The ATI NC527 seems reliable with a good warranty, but the older ncores don't have the frequency response, especially in the upper treble, of the good class A/B like Parasound Halo A21/51 line or the newer Purifi, so suspect that would be a noticeable downgrade from the Parasound ...

Feb 13, 2016 · Mechanically the NAD M28 is beautifully put together. Should any of the amplifiers fail, you can swap parts to find out if it is the buffer board or the Purifi module. And possibly source Purifi modules in the open market to fix. The power supply is a different matter as it seems to be a custom product.
