Oct 1, 2012 · That tuner was in NAD's Monitor Series; to get it for pocket change at a thrift shop is a very nice catch indeed, and is a darn good tuner if it's workin' right. These days, anything with an IF Narrow switch indicates quality. Plus NAD tuners tend to be very quiet, and have excellent sound quality. Ya done real good.

Mar 3, 2012 · My friend's High end Yamaha bested it, but that Tuner cost more than NAD's Tuner and preamp combined. The answer is yes. NAD gear is good stuff. I've a 4300 from the early 90s that's pretty good. It is part of their Monitor series. Good sound and great styling. I have a 4125 that I got at a pawn shop for $10 . It's been working just fine so far .
