Epson 6050UB vs JVC NX5/NX7 - AVS Forum
Jan 18, 2020 · Definitely worth considering if you can find one with a warranty. The NX7 and NX5 are still at the top and the 6050 is much easier to get HDR performance from. You can get great HDR from the 970r but you need customized curves . The 790R wins for Contrast and black levels over the other projectors. It is an amazing pixel shifter.
JVC NZ7 or NX5? - AVS Forum
Sep 7, 2021 · It was not worth it for me - I bought NX5 over NZ7. But really - the question is whether you consider USD 10K reasonable price for a projector. If you do - then get the NZ7. I personally don't. I can spend that kind of money but don't consider it reasonable. I'm sure there are people that consider $2-3K reasonable and NX5 price too high.
Sony VPL-VW325ES vs JVC NX5 - AVS Forum
May 6, 2021 · NX5 should measure about 1100-1200 lumens in low and 1550-1650 lumens in high, calibrated. Contrast should also measure at or close to 20,000:1 native in the worse case. They got 820 lumens in low and 1268 lumens in high, and …
JVC NX5 vs JVC RS540 - AVS Forum
Dec 10, 2022 · The NX5 will be sharper, at least on test patterns provided you stand close enough. Personally, I don't think sharpness is a big difference with actual content. If you display a lot of small text, it would matter but not many people do that with projectors. Given the price difference it is probably better to go with the NX5.
JVC DLA-NX5 vs NX7 - AVS Forum
Jan 14, 2021 · Thinking it will probably be a NX5 to replace our current JVC RS-500, but if the NX7 offers enough worthwhile upgrades to make it worth the extra cost, could be convinced. Dedicated home theater, fully light controlled, 133" Screen Innovations screen with front row of 2 rows of seating 10' from screen, which I know is slightly closer than ideal ...

JVC NX5 vs NX7 on 80" - AVS Forum
Mar 8, 2019 · The nx5 only has one iris, and on 80" 1.3 gain, it might be too bright for SDR. That's around 60-70 fL on low lamp with the iris open! The nx7/rs2000 has two iris's, so you could clamp the lens iris down to get superior contrast while still leaving DI on, AND engage the color filter for 100%+ of the P3 gamut, which will reduce the output even more.
JVC nx7 versus nx5 - AVS Forum
Dec 17, 2019 · Of course, many many people including on this forum have an RS1000/NX5. I bought one myself and if money were no object would have gone for the NX7 but perfectly happy with performance of the NX5. Like most things in life, that incremental 10 percent in performance costs proportionally more to acquire and only you can judge if it is worth it ...
JVC NX5 Settings Thread - AVS Forum
Apr 16, 2019 · RS1000/NX5 owners shouldn't worry about the absence of filter, it's definitely not mandatory to get excellent results, on all models. With the HDR color profile selected (BT2020 no filter) or on the RS1000/NX5, you should still be getting something midway between rec-709 and P3: rec-709 is around 70% of P3, HDR (no filter) is around 85% of P3 ...
Feb 2020 JVC X790 vs NX5 - AVS Forum
Feb 8, 2020 · The difference you will notice on the RS1000/NX5 is that the image is sharper, calmer, and provides more detail. The HDR will definitely be an upgrade unless you are running MadVR on a HTPC or have an expensive lumagen or Envy. The advange of the X790 is obviously the contrast which will be evident over the RS1000/NX5 as well as the P3 filter.
