Geoff is a mixed-traffic diesel engine who lives in Island of Sodor. Geoff rescued James after his injector failed, and managed to change James' opinion of diesels with his charismatic personality. Salty did of course finally start working at Tidmouth Docks after completing his work at the Quarry. However, a couple of months later, he was briefly called to Tidmouth Station to take over as station pilot, while Gideon (NWR #D4) was busy elsewhere.
