Jan 22, 2020 · Old NM cable without the -B suffix is truly 60C designed AFAIK. Once they created NM-B you still had to base your absolute minimum ampacity from 60 C ampacity table, but could and still can make any adjustments starting with 90C ampacity values.

Aug 22, 2010 · Do you wire these using MC cable, or bare NM? Do you put the NM straight into the surface-mounted box, or through the cabinet first? (If you go straight into the box, how do you handle clamping requirements?) Some electricians I've worked with use a bit of flexible conduit between the box and the wall, or the box and the hole in the cabinet back or base.

Jun 21, 2014 · The only code against NM in conduit is the conduit/raceway can't be outside in a wet location. The code now considers the inside of a raceway in wet locations as a "wet location".
