A couple years ago (at MCT) I received a 6105 for having my phone on me (yes I know, dumb on my part) and was wondering if that would effect me getting an honorable discharge or not, I just don’t want to go all the way to my EAS (a little over a year left) and lose my GI Bill.

However, a punitive LOR can only be issue either as a result of Mast (which is an Article 15 hearing/NJP) or as a result of a court-martial conviction, which is obviously not the case here. Your LOR should say if it is a punitive LOR and your actual servicerecord will reflect if you received NJP. However, your DD-214 should not.

that is a tough one. It is possible to have the NJP vacated or removed, but this can only be done by the commander who issued the NJP or his or her successor. SO, if you want to get the rank back and remove the NJP, you will need to request this from the commander that administered it.

I am submitting an appeal to my NJP and would like assistance in creating it and showing my CG that the punishment was too harsh because i did not admit i commited the crime and he found me guilty due to him having statements saying that i spent time with another marine. there was no proof or pictures or anything (no physical proof that i commited the crime).
