Jun 14, 2024 · NGC 2264 is, in fact, a cluster of young stars — with ages between about one and five million years old — in our Milky Way about 2,500 light-years away from Earth. The stars in NGC 2264 are both smaller and larger than the Sun, ranging from some with less than a tenth the mass of the Sun to others containing about seven solar masses.

NGC 2264, The Cone Nebula and Christmas Tree Star Cluster
Dec 3, 2023 · I decided to try and photograph a new to me target NGC 2264, The Cone Nebula and Christmas Tree Star Cluster. I figured as Christmas approaches this would be a good target to pursue. I shot this target for three nights during a full moon. I'm very impressed with the L-Ultimate filter. All the information about the picture is below.

NGC 2264 - Lesser Framed : r/astrophotography - Reddit
Dec 23, 2022 · A lesser framed view into NGC 2264, this is the FOV of my 16" RC and QHY 600 and I love this look into this reflection nebula. The structures here are so mesmerizing. The detail I was able to pull out here is thanks solely to Russel Crowman and his new BlurXTerminator tool, which I think may be the single best $100 investment I have ever made.
The Anomaly entering and leaving [Oochorrs UF-J c11-0] System
Sep 1, 2022 · This is how the Anomaly looked as it headed towards the Oochorrs UF-J C11-0 System from the direction of NGC 2264 Sector RE-Y C14-0. The Anomaly approached, entered and then left the system. It's velocity was observed to be very high as CMDRs were unable to catch up to it in supercruise even at max speed (2001c).
