In 1942, NBC introduced its third logo, consisting of a circle featuring a hand holding an NBC microphone, two stars, and a banner saying "BROADCASTING IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST". This logo was used on NBC's print materials during 1942-43. [1]

The logos were designed by employees of NBC, rather than by an advertising agency. The first logo incorporated design from then-parent company RCA, and was a unique logo not related to the NBC radio network.

This logo was introduced with the debut of the Peacock streaming app. 2022–present

NBC is the oldest of the "Big Three" television networks, and is sometimes referred to as the "Peacock Network", in reference to its stylized peacock logo, which was introduced in 1956 to promote the company's innovations in early color broadcasting before becoming a part of its main branding in 1979.

This logo is currently seen on most season 3 episodes of The Virginian on INSP; this was also seen on some episodes of Bonanza on Me-TV, such as season 2's "Day of Reckoning" and season 7's "The Lonely Ranger", and several of the "lost episodes" on Me-TV, followed by the 2007 CBS Television Distribution logo.

In 1952, NBC made a complete overhaul with their logo featuring the "NBC" text in individual black and white (hard to see) boxes. In idents, this would be depicted as a xylophone while the mallet hits on the three letters making the network's famous jingle.
