N-acetyltransferase 1 - Wikipedia
This gene is one of two arylamine N-acetyltransferase (NAT) genes in the human genome, and is orthologous to the mouse and rat NAT2 genes. The enzyme encoded by this gene catalyzes the transfer of an acetyl group from acetyl-CoA to various arylamine and hydrazine substrates.

Mar 30, 2025 · NAT1 (N-Acetyltransferase 1) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with NAT1 include Spina Bifida and Deafness, Autosomal Recessive 15. Among its related pathways are Metapathway biotransformation Phase I and II and Paracetamol ADME.
N-acetyltransferase - Wikipedia
The two NAT enzymes in humans are NAT1 and NAT2. [4] Mice and rats express three enzymes, NAT1, NAT2, and NAT3. [4] NAT1 and NAT2 have been found to be closely related in species examined thus far, since the two enzymes share 75-95% of their amino acid sequence. [9] [10] Both also have an active site cysteine residue (Cys 68) in the N-terminal ...
The NAT1–bHLH110–CER1/CER1L module regulates heat stress
Jan 14, 2025 · Rice production is facing substantial threats from global warming associated with extreme temperatures. Here we report that modifying a heat stress-induced negative regulator, a negative regulator...

Jan 10, 2017 · Novel APOBEC1 target 1 (Nat1) (also known as "p97," "Dap5," and "Eif4g2") is a ubiquitously expressed cytoplasmic protein that is homologous to the C-terminal two thirds of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4G (Eif4g1).
Arylamine N-acetyltransferase I - PubMed
Arylamine N-acetyltransferase I (NAT1) is a phase II enzyme that acetylates a wide range of arylamine and hydrazine substrates. The NAT1 gene is located on chromosome 8 and shares homology to NAT genes found in most mammalian species.
Functional analysis of arylamine N-acetyltransferase 1 (NAT1) NAT1…
NAT1*10 is the most common variant haplotype and is associated with increased risk for numerous cancers. NAT1 is transcribed from a major promoter, NATb, and an alternative promoter, NATa, resulting in messenger RNAs (mRNAs) with …
