Boeing will modify MD-90 aircraft the SFD Demonstrator aircraft. Existing wings, aft engines, and fuselage sections will be removed. SFD modification includes addition of Transonic Truss-Braced Wing and subsystems, modern geared turbo-fan engines, and instrumentation.
