The Naval Aircraft Factory TDN was an early unmanned combat aerial vehicle - referred to at the time as an "assault drone" - developed by the United States Navy 's Naval Aircraft Factory during the Second World War.

TDN 1943 = Unmanned, radio-controlled, tv-directed torpedo drone. 0-1pOmwM; two Lycoming XA-435-4; span: c.50'0" length: c.36'0". Carried ordnance loads up to a ton of bombs or torpedoes and was controlled from a "mother" aircraft in its vicinity or from ships at sea.

Then, on 3 April 1942, an order was placed for the NAF to build 100 TDN-1s. In 1943, work began on Project Gorgon, a turbo-jet -powered missile.
