With more than enough conservatively-rated power for driving most any speaker system to realistic sound-levels, an excellent tuner section, and preamplification that doesn't draw undue attention to draw attention to itself.

Apr 25, 2018 · Just remember NAD C-740 fantastic sound, great tuner, two speaker sets, 2 tape loops (one for your tape deck and one for your CD-R). OHH by the way the 40W per channel is 40W of pure beautiful music and will blow away cheap 100W sonys, Jvcs or kenwoods.

NAD has the answer in the C-740. Its modest power rating belies its useful output potential and sonic capability. It's sound is definately entry level audiophile class.

First, the C-740 now comes with a switched power outlet so that you can plug in your CD player or something else and control the power with the C-740's power on/off. Second, all the inputs are high-level inputs meaning you can't plug in a turntable directly unless it has a built-in pre-amp.

This NAD unit, is best chosen and suited for people who want an NAD item, like the NAD sound, do not have a need for high power (bedroom, dorm, study) or home theatre dynamic range. It is easily bi-wired to a decent set of speakers, and delivers very fine sound.

NAD AMP sounds open and detailed, with sparkling treble, solid mid-range and a tight and full bottom. It has plenty of clean power, and throws a wide and deeply believable sound stage. If you buy this amp, I highly recommend you couple it with the matching NAD C-542 CD Player.

Sep 10, 2013 · The NAD is in a different league all together, it sounds much more like 100 watts per channel than 50. Build is great as is the build on the Cambridge but the NAD has more way more balls, Dynamics, better soundstage, more 3-D to the sound.
