Jan 27, 2025 · If a landlord gives you a form N12 and you want to leave your place, they still must pay you one month’s compensation or offer you another acceptable rental unit. The landlord must also provide 60 days written notice for the eviction to be granted.

Jul 18, 2024 · On October 31, 2020 the Landlords served an N12 Notice to End Your Tenancy with a termination date of December 31, 2020. The notice meets all of the requirements of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (the 'Act') in terms of form and content.

Dec 12, 2018 · To ask you to leave so a family member can move in, your landlord must serve you with a “Notice to End your Tenancy Because the Landlord, a Purchaser or a Family Member Requires the Rental Unit”. This is also called an N12 Notice. The landlord can only use this notice for specific, close family members. It cannot be used for extended family.

Read the Instructions carefully before completing this form. The termination date cannot be earlier than 60 days after the date the landlord gives the tenant this notice. Also, the date must be the last day of the rental period, or, if the tenancy is for a fixed term, the last day of the fixed term.
