May 4, 2014 · I recieved information about the A5 cards this morning. I can now confirm that the A5 SD card is a legitimate Ford map card. It is backwards compatible with all MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch vehicles (if they are equipped with navigation).

Jan 22, 2015 · According to the Ford IVT people, they didn't start putting the A5 in new cars until October when they were supposedly released on navigation.com.

May 14, 2014 · I checked with my local dealer and they didn't know anything yet, but a Google search the other day shows new A5 SD Nav cards are now out there for the 8" MFT/Sync Navigation systems. It seems to be just a map update, not anything else related to Sync.
