Domain registrars use Domain Name System (DNS) records to connect your domain name with email, websites, and other web services. Popular domain registrars include GoDaddy, Squarespace, and IONOS, to name a few. Google Workspace uses DNS records to: Verify you are the owner of your domain; Route your company's email messages to Google mail servers

Update your DNS records. These steps describe how to move your DNS records to another domain host, and then verify your domain and set up Gmail. The example host is ClouDNS.net, which provides several DNS services, including limited, free DNS hosting. Several other domain hosts offer similar features, and the setup steps are similar.
