Jun 28, 2021 · The standard is just dried peas (I think marrowfat peas) simmered in seasoned water until they go mushy. No cream, no mint. Mint is great with normal peas but woul be wierd with fish and chips.

Oct 31, 2017 · It's to speed up the soaking process, mushy peas are traditionally made from dried marrowfat peas. Your supposed to drain and wash the soaked peas prior to cooking so you only have trace elements of it at most.
