Mumby Road railway station was a station on the Great Northern Railway 's Mablethorpe Loop line between Willoughby, Mablethorpe and Louth. It served the village of Bilsby, and was named after the nearby village of Mumby.

Mumby Road is also the most easterly station to feature in the whole song. It was situated on the branch line to Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe which left the main line from Boston to Grimsby at Willoughby and headed east to meet the sea.

Mumby Road Railway Station was at a passing loop on the single track Willoughby to Sutton branch line, with a wooden signal cabin (10 feet by 12 feet) on the south platform.

Mumby is a village in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is located 4 miles (6 km) south-east from the town of Alford. In 2001 the population was recorded as 352, [2] increasing to 447 at the 2011 Census. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as consisting of 97 households. [3]
