I have a 1993 Mule 2510. I just put a new carb, fuel pump, fuel filter, gas tank and gas lines in it. When we drive it, it starts great and has really good power at first. About 30 minutes into riding it - it just loses power. It still goes but at about half speed and can barely go up the smallest incline.

Oct 20, 2013 · The Mule 2500/2510 engine is a Mule 2500/2510 engine. Nothing interchanges. The John Deere Gator engine is close, but the crankshaft is different (Mule engine needs a splined shaft). Also the Gator engine has the governor on the engine, where the Mule's governor is actually in the transmission.

My fuel pump relay went kaput, confirmed with the resistance test outlined in the service manual. For now, I've "hardwired" it per the description in post #9. Looking around, it appears a replacement Kawasaki part is a bit shy of $100.

Jul 21, 2012 · Well ive got it apart, and it looks to me like somewhow the spring had come loose inside, which was making the rattling noise, this then loosened a couple of the bolts which hold the weight runners which came off and rattled around, and eventually the splines on the 'spider' which the weights bolt to just disintegrated, so basicly its knackered!

Oct 16, 2006 · Well ****, there are many challenges with the old 2510 Mule. I've had a few but I bet I haven't had all of them. I own a 2510 circa mid 90's. 1) the brakes can be an issue if they weren't adjusted regularly and if they were run in muddy water without good cleanout 2) the engine can overheat if the radiator fan doesn't run when hot.
