May 4, 2015 · The best way is to use some Pigments. Get some gloss or pigment fixer, and just dab a bit of Earth/dirt pigments on the tracks and under skirts of the tank. Pigments Powders are good because they're very fine and look appropriate to scale. Another option is taking Plaster of Paris (or just regular plaster), and mixing it with a bit of brown paint.

Feb 10, 2010 · Can't think of any "amusing" thown track stories, even if it is the other guy. It takes a lot of work and time to repair no matter what and usually happens when it is cold, wet and muddy. Why do tanks throw tracks?-improper track tension or missing connectors (poor maintenance)-a block breaks.
