Apr 11, 2011 · As a rule of thumb, MSMA should not be sprayed until daytime temps have reached 90 and night time temps are at 70 (consistently). If you do not follow this "rule of thumb" you will probably not get the results you seek. IMO it is a bit early for spraying MSMA. Make good use of the MSMA you have. More than likely it is the last you will ever see.

My label also states for a person to cut their lawns at 1" and then apply as a blanket spray for adequate coverage. 1 oz per K is the rate for our bermuda's and .5 oz per k for Zoysia's with surfactant.

Jul 23, 2009 · MSMA is used here as a pre plant burn down next to glyphosate. It is definately cheaper to use and kills more weeds than most expensive counterparts. It is a widely used herbicide in the south--it takes heat to make this product work effectively!!

It works best when temps are 90 or so in the day and 70 or so at night. 80+ and it will still work somewhat but at a much slower rate. Here's why IMO it is a waste of money and time to use MSMA right now. The season is coming to an end as we speak.

Aug 12, 2005 · Yep a day or two.It depends on which brand MSMA you apply and the amount.Some contain less active ingredients than others.Temps make a big difference as well as does pressure that it is applied at.Spot spraying,I've killed grabgrass completely in two days.It stunned the hell out of the bermuda,but it comes right back.
