Oct 25, 2022 · Hello, I’m a RTO and I was giving a lot of ATAKS and MPU5s I’m pretty familiar with the MPU5 and have fielded them for my unit. But now I have ATAKS and have no idea how to setup and configure the atak to the MPU5. I have the ATAK pinging the MPU5 but I get no gps signal on my MPU5 to the ATAK. I just need help or a crash course lol.
Question: are civilians able to purchase the MPU5? And if so
Sep 11, 2021 · The MPU5 is designed with countless other systems intended to gain value from it that you as an individual civilian- heck, even if you have a group of 10 people all running the platform is minimal compared to quality radios and a proper PACE plan.

Sep 10, 2022 · Persistent is more around the 45 mpu5 range is about a mile little more depending on terrain. The directional system can shoot around 30. Seen that one personally. Persistent has a better network card the amount of protocols and systems it can handle is key. DTC is around 34-40. Haven’t done much with that system.

Nov 28, 2022 · The other option is from Silvus Technologies or goTenna Pro. Silvus makes the StreamCaster 4200 which is a 2x2 MIMO radio that has a larger band selection than the MPU5 and also uses Eigen Beamforming technology and in certain benchmarks it does outperform the MPU5 at least in S-Band and L-Band when it comes to channel latency and node members.

Do this system exist and are available to civilians? if yes, could you enable encryption on those frequencies? Edit: I'm basically looking for a encrypted two way radio, and if it has some p2p capabilities that would be a huge plus

May 19, 2021 · You'll need to understand the difference between unicast traffic, which is most normal traffic, and multicast traffic, which stops at the router or layer 3 device. The cots being sent out from atak in mesh mode and from the MPU5 is all multicast. It will only be in the mesh network. There are some exceptions.

(+/-10k each) The radios are available in civilian band ranges, making them accessible to purchase. I would like to ask for help on exactly how these radios may work when using civilian bands. Any help would be appreciated
