Aug 25, 2019 · Just finished the rebuild of my 08 rm 125. Gonna run it on motul but which is the better option considering I'm just a novice/intermediate rider. I know the 800 is supposed to be fantastic but heard reports it has a lot of sponge unless the bike is ridden really hard.

Oct 5, 2012 · I concur with all of the castor oil based suggestions. I would run 50/50 pump & race gas mixed with Maxima 927 castor oil in my CR500, and the smell was incredible.

Feb 17, 2015 · Hi guys, did anyone have a similar problem? I completely rebuilt my RM 250 2005 last year, and the Hot Rods crankshaft bearings fell apart at 20 hour mark, destroying the crank in the process (deep notching). I alwas use motul 800 in 1:32 ratio. Damn I am bummed.

Jan 16, 2017 · Motul 800 and Bel-Ray are H1-R is the highest. If you're on the pipe a lot in MX, especially on a small bore 2 stroke, the higher flash point oil is a good choice. Running slower on a big bore could leave a mess, as the oil isn't being used as it was designed.

Oct 20, 2011 · Been running Motul 800 in my YZ since I bought it a few years back mostly cuz the previous owner ran it and threw in a couple of quarts when I bought it. I have no issues with the Motul (except price) bike runs great and no breakdowns. However I'd like to spend my money on an American-made product as I try to with most things I purchase.

Dec 20, 2016 · Motul 800 and Ipone Box 2 in both my RM's. Used Motul Transoil prior to Ipone, but after I poured the first bottle in, there was no going back. I had no idea oil could make such a difference in clutch operation.

May 30, 2024 · x2 on something other than 927 on a YZ250 unless you’re riding the nuts off the thing, and that’s coming from someone who’s burned an uncountable amount of 927 in my 125. I’d be looking towards Maxima’s K2, Bel-Rays H1R, or Motul 800.
