Jan 7, 2024 · You can also shave down the non threaded lip on the clutch and that’ll make it much better. Or you can also just drill out the arms to 7mm (they come with 6mm holes) and use em on a derbi hub with no problem. Works for piston port/pyramid reed, haven’t tried flat reed.

The Pyramid Reed motor doesnt get as much love as they should, pretty common, and if kited very fast, faster then their piston port counterpart by miles, not as torquey, but much faster

May 23, 2016 · Derbi mopeds are fairly rare (and desirable) in the US, and the flat reed design in particular is superior to Derbi's older pyramid reed and piston-port designs. It also depends a lot on your location, though. Moped prices in bigger cities are often double that of small towns.
