Jan 16, 2017 · When the crescent moon icon is shown beside a contact's name in the messages list in the Messages app, it means that you have selected not to receive notifications about new messages from that contact. To turn the setting off for that contact: In the Messages app, open the conversation with that contact.

Dec 18, 2012 · The Moon symbol means you have the [Do Not Disturb] option turned on. Which means no alerts will be heard, and no phone calls will ring. Go to settings->Do Not Disturb, and move the slider to turn it off. The Moon icon will then go away.

If it’s green, then you’re hiding the alerts of that person, which will show the moon symbol. Slide it to off, which will change to gray.

Jan 27, 2016 · The moon icon indicates that Do Not Disturb mode has been enabled. To turn it off: when viewing the time on your watch, swipe up on the watch face > swipe left/right to the Settings glance > tap on the Do Not Disturb button (which has the same moon icon).

Jan 28, 2022 · Non-apple apps do not appear to receive push notifications. I have disabled focus settings. When I pull-up-from-bottom-of-screen to view settings shortcuts from the home screen, my Focus icon is a white moon on a red background: I don't know that this is related, but it looks suspicious and is not the same white-on-gray as I see on other devices.
