Montez is the first of three characters from Sons of Anarchy to die in Mayans MC, the second being Oscar Ramos and the third being fellow Redwood Original Happy Lowman. Allesandro Montez is the only known Road Captain of SAMCRO .

Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original, abbreviated as SAMCRO (often spelled Sam Crow), is the mother charter of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club on the FX original series Sons of Anarchy.

He spends the majority of the show's lifespan as the vice president of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club's Redwood Original (SAMCRO) mother charter based in Charming, California; following season four, he assumes the presidency for the remainder of the series.
