Philadelphus (/ ˌfɪləˈdɛlfəs / [2]) (mock-orange) is a genus of about 60 species of shrubs from 3–20 ft (1–6 m) tall, native to North America, Central America, Asia and (locally) in southeast Europe.

Mock orange makes a wonderful privacy screen or hedge and povides fragrant flowers that smell of citrus in early summer with a minimum of care. In addition, they are drought resistant, pest resistant, and disease resistant making them ideal shrubs for a variety of uses.
